LEGALIZATION AND RECOGNITION OF EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS

To enroll in RSHU, you need to go through the process of legalization and recognition of educational documents. The process of legalization and recognition of educational documents differs depending on the presence or absence of an agreement on mutual recognition between the Russian Federation and a foreign state from which a student comes to study at RSHU

Legalization is a procedure providing for the authentication of a signature, the identity of the person who signed the document, the authenticity of the seal or stamp with which the document submitted for legalization is sealed, and the compliance of this document with the legislation of the host state.

Depending on the presence or absence of a special agreement between the Russian Federation and a foreign state, as well as the accession of a foreign state to the Hague Convention, the applicant will need to go through the procedure of consular legalization or “apostille”.

If it is necessary to go through the procedure of consular legalization:

It is necessary to contact the consular department in the country of receipt of the education document to clarify the process of the legalization procedure.

If it is necessary to go through the procedure of “apostille”:

It is necessary to contact the appropriate state structure in order to obtain a document on education. A list of government agencies can be found on the website

After passing the legalization process, students need to contact the National Information Center to undergo the procedure for recognizing a document of education.
