Training Programs:
- “Preparation of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons for Studying Professional Educational Programs in Russian” (Preparatory Department / Podfak).
Duration of study – up to 10 months
Total hours – 2160, including 1080 classroom hours
Tuition fee – 195,000 rubles
Depending on the student’s future specialization, the Preparatory Department program is divided into 5 profiles:
Medical and Biological (Russian language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry)
Natural Sciences (Russian language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry)
Engineering, Technology, and Technical (Russian language, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
Economics (Russian language, History, Social Studies, Mathematics)
Humanities (Russian language, Literature, Social Studies, History)
Study period: October 1 – June 10
The programme teaches relevant Russian language skills required to study in your area of specialisation at a Russian university. - “Preparation of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons for Studying Professional Educational Programs in Russian at a Medical University”

Study period: January 11 – July 10 - “Russian as a Foreign Language. Intensive Course”

Students who successfully complete the preparatory department program receive a Certificate of the university-established format.
Preparation of foreign citizens is conducted in groups of up to 15 people.
The program consists 2 semesters:
1st semester – Russian language;
2nd semester – Russian language + subjects in 5 profiles.
The duration of study at the Preparatory Department at the university is one academic year.
For the duration of their studies at RSHU, students are provided with the opportunity to live in the university campus dormitory.

End of the Course
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate that gives you the right to enter RSMU and any other university in Russia.

Required documents
- A copy of the original passport. The passport must be valid for at least 21 months from the intended date of entry into the Russian Federation.
- A translation of the passport into Russian.
- The applicant’s application form.
The Cost of Studies
The training of foreign citizens is carried out at the expense of the following sources of financing:
- according to the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation;
- contract training (for a fee).
The tuition fee for the 2025/2026 academic year is 195,000 rubles.

The Cost of Living
Students of the Preparatory Department are provided with a block–type dormitory: 6 rooms for 2 people. The bathroom is shared on the block.
For scholarship students, the hostel dues is 1,800 rubles per month; for fee-paying students, it is 5,880 rubles per month.
